Membership
Certified Member
Certified membership will be granted to those who have the required academic credits and have satisfied the experience requirements associated with admission to the association. Designations are as follows:
- Professional Technologist (PTech) – This is normally a graduate of a three year technology program with a minimum of 24 months of acceptable work experience. Work terms completed within your educational program will count towards your experience at a 50% value.
- Certified Technician (CTech) – This is normally a graduate of a two year technician program with a minimum of 24 months of acceptable work experience.
To accompany your application you will be required to provide the following documentation:
- Original Transcripts
- A copy of your Diploma
- Resume
- Detailed Job Description Signed by your Current Supervisor
You are also required to complete the AETTNL Professional Practice Exam to attain membership. More information on the exam can be found here.
Certified Members will upon admission and payment of the requisite membership fee, be afforded the right to attend Provincial meetings, participate, make motions, vote and hold office.
Certified Members remain as such as long as they keep current with their annual dues.
